Light Painting With Farron

It’s been such a long time since I did a light painting shoot with a model – and though it’s something I really enjoy, it can be hard to find a model and then the time and place for the shoot. But early this week the stars aligned and I put up a small set on our stoop ready for Farron – and her partner Brent who was a big help operating the camera remote – whilst I was busy painting light with the LED wand and fibre optic whip.

I’ve worked with Farron before – several years ago on a light painting shoot at Fort Governor’s Estate – and we have bumped into each other over the years since and said that we must get together for another session. You can see from the results here that she’s great to work with. She gave me such nice shapes and poses to drape light trails over and around. We are already planning our next get together – in the Orchard Gallery (almost completed!) – up at Hogsback next week.
